Especially Siddha

ABOUT US

"Siddha" refers to a traditional system of medicine that originated in ancient Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the oldest systems of medicine in the Indian subcontinent and has a rich history dating back thousands of years. The term "Siddha" is derived from the Tamil word "Siddhi," which means perfection or achievement.

While Siddha medicine has a longstanding tradition in Tamil Nadu, it is one of the recognized traditional systems of medicine in India. It coexists with other systems like Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy. However, it is important to note that Siddha medicine should be practiced and administered by qualified practitioners to ensure its efficacy and safety.

Principles and Philosophy

January 2024

Siddha medicine is based on the concept of balancing the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, which are believed to govern the physiological and psychological functions of the body. The Siddha system also emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balance between the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and ether) in the body.

Diagnosis

January 8, 2024

Siddha practitioners diagnose diseases through a comprehensive examination of the patient, including pulse diagnosis, urine analysis, and assessing the symptoms. Pulse diagnosis, known as "Nadi Pariksha," is a vital component of Siddha diagnosis, helping practitioners understand the imbalances in the body.

Treatment Modalities

January 2, 2024

Siddha medicine employs a holistic approach to healing, combining various treatment modalities such as diet and lifestyle modifications, herbal medicine, yoga, meditation, and therapeutic practices. Herbal formulations, known as "kudineer" or "chooranam," play a crucial role in Siddha treatment. These formulations often consist of a combination of herbs and minerals. பாரத் மாதா கி ஜே..!
