GLOBAL MEDIA OUTREACH ANNOUNCES CELEBRATION BANQUET

Banquet Celebrates Ministry’s One Billionth Gospel Presentation

HOUSTON (September 16, 2014) — Global Media Outreach (GMO) will host a special banquet next week to commemorate the ministry’s one billionth Gospel presentation. The event will be held at the Royal Oaks Country Club on Sept. 23.

GMO, an internet ministry that shares Jesus online, disciples, and connects people to local Christian communities, has now presented the Gospel more than one billion times. Since 2004, people all across the world have learned about Jesus as a result of the ministry’s work. Now, GMO is celebrating with local supporters as they gear their excitement toward going beyond a billion.

Liz Lee, a local breast cancer surgeon, has experienced the impact of the ministry’s work firsthand. A few years ago, Lee searched online for an answer to her unhappiness and she found a GMO site. After being discipled by an Online Missionary, Lee recalls, “There was a change inside of me. I felt like this overwhelming sense of peace that I have never felt before.”

Soon after, she said “I started reading the Bible all the time and wanting to go to church all the time. I had been born again.” Lee will attend as a special guest and give her testimony during the celebration.

Following Lee’s testimony, guests will have the opportunity to hear from Walt Wilson, Founder and Chairman of GMO. Throughout the evening, music will be provided by Ben and Ashley Rush.
