Luzviminda: From Pride to Repentance

Luzviminda thought she had it going on. Trusting in herself, she believed her experiences and willingness to survive and excel were enough. She didn't need anyone else.

She was proud of how strong she was and all she earned for herself in life. But all that came to an end two years ago when she lost her job.

Shortly after, her husband abandoned her and their child, leaving them alone in Manila, the Philippines, to fend for themselves.

Searching for help online, Luzviminda came across a GMO website, reawakening her to a faith she had forgotten and turned away from.

Convicted, she wrote:

“I cried a river of tears of joy while reading the message. He is using you and your site to let me feel His ever-loving presence.”

She began praising God, filled with joy.

“He woke me up while I still have time to repent and follow Him. That made me realize how much He loves me.”

After speaking with her Online Missionary, David, she's learned that pride will get her nowhere. She needs God.

“God can provide, but He can also allow everything to be taken away in a snap. I always come back to Jesus, asking for His forgiveness and that He will give me a new heart, as God has promised in Ezekiel 36:26.”

God uses 2 Chronicles 7:14 to remind her that she must humble herself and keep praying to God for a full life.

Luzviminda expresses gratitude that David is there to listen to her. She said he helps her love God more.

“Truly, God is so faithful to His promise that He will never leave nor forsake me. My heart is filled with so much joy, for I know that He alone is enough to complete me.”
