Progressive English School, aims to impart skills and values for excellence in all realms of life in an environment of personal attention. Well qualified and experienced teachers monitor children’s progress. The assessment is communicated to the parents regularly. Special classes and series of examinations are conducted to enable the students to come out successfully in the ICSE & ISC examination.
Kindergarten
The foundation stage of the learning process is introduced in the “play while you learn” methodology. Emphasis is given on nurturing the cognitive skills and motor development in an easy and fun filled environment. Emphasis is given to audio-visual aids.
Subjects to KG Students
KGI-English, Mathematics, Drawing& General Knowledge, KGII- English, Mathematics, Drawing General Knowledge, Environmental studies.
Primary
This stage a more structured form of subjects is taught along with optional languages.
Subjects to Grade 1&II
English, Arabic, Math’s, U.A.E book, 2nd Language (Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Malayalam,) Environmental Science, Moral Science/Islamic Studies
Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation (As suggested by ICSE for (Grade –III to V)
This system of Continuous Evaluation is a clear shift of emphasis from evaluating the learner’s performance in examination to holistic assessment of the learner’s overall achievements. This is aimed to reduce examination stress and anxiety experienced by the students. Grades are awarded for extra-curricular activities and also for the student’s personal behavior and attitude.
Subjects for III, IV, V- English, Arabic, Social Studies, Math’s, 2nd Language (Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Malayalam) Environmental Science, UAE Book, Moral Science/Islamic Studies.
Secondary
This stage a more structured form of subjects is taught along with optional languages.
Subjects to VI to X-- English, English Composition, Arabic, Math’s, Computers, 2nd Language (Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Malayalam &French) Environmental Science, UAE Social Studies, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Civics, Geography.
Sr Secondary
This is the stage where students specialize in subjects of their choice, paving way for future career, following 10+2 pattern. (ISC)

Admissions
Admission is offered based on the final Examinations result of the previous year and Transfer Certificate. Pupils seeking admission to class I onwards will have to pass an entrance test in English and Mathematics if their aggregate in all these subjects is less than 60%.
There is no direct admission to class X and Class XII from other Boards.
Documents required for Admission:
- Application from duly completed
- Two copies of Passport with Visa page
- Six Passport-size photos
- Original and copy of Birth Certificate
- Transfer Certificate (for Class II and above) Attested by the Ministry of Education, Dubai
- Copy of the Original Marks Sheet of the Examinations passed at the previous school
Transfer Certificates from outside UAE must have attestations by:
- DEO/AEO of that country
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sharjah/Dubai.
- Consulate of that country in Dubai
FEE STRUCTURE
KG 1&KG II : DHS 330 Per month
CLASSES I to V : DHS 350 Per month
CLASSES VI VII VIII &IX : DHS 470 Per month
CLASSES X,XI,XII : DHS 530 Per month
An annual fee of 200 is charged for all co-curricular activities and medical.
Uniform
Uniform and its accessories are sold at School Premises. Parents are strictly advised to purchase uniform only from the school. Regular Uniform to be worn on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Sports Uniform to be on Tuesday and sports activity days.
