MWS – Introduction, Vision, Mission, Working strategies and Core Values
Mahasakthi Welfare Society (MWS) is working in the admin Blocks namely Periyakulam, Theni Town & Rural, Aundipatti, Bodi Cumbum blocks in Theni District, Tamilnadu, India with the population covered about 2,53,600 spreader over including the 250 more villages panchayats are engaged in the services of organisation.
Mahasakthi Welfare Society (MWS) has all legal amenities such as Full Tax Exemption to Donors u/s 80G of Indian Income Tax and Sec. 12A(a), PAN and TAN numbers.
Vision
Mahasakthi Welfare Society (MWS) is working with a Vision: "To empower Mahasakthi the communities who are socially oppressed and suppressed through social, economic and political development initiatives to ensure self reliance and self sustainability.
Mission
Our Mission focusing to: To create awareness among Women and Children in Social, Educational, Environmental, Agricultural, political and healthcare. To make Women self sufficient by empowering financial status of women through various skill training programmes for self employment
MWS's Working Objectives focuses on:
- To create opportunities for accessing and mobilizing various financial resources and collective financial capital for the development of women and poor people.
- To increase income earning capacity and reduce dept burden and other economic issues through the implementation of Micro Credit and micro enterprises programme.
- To promote natural resource management programmes as poverty reduction and protection and promotion of environmental equilibrium.
- To organize and facilitate relevant people's forums, federations, movement etc. and to participate in development and rights assertion process and to continue the same on their own in long run.
- To educate and generate awareness among people through Group, Community and mass based educative and communicative programmes & processes.
- To facilitate various stakeholders and people for the availability of basic needs/amenities and infrastructure (housing, sanitation, drinking water etc) to rural and urban poor communities.
MWS is governed by the democratically constituted General Body with 7 Members and the Executive Committee with 5 members and a Resource Team comprised experts, philanthropists etc., The day to day affairs are governed, monitored by the Secretary – Mrs. P. KALA with her dedicated Staffs of 9 members.
MWS Target Community for Working
Our Mahasakthi Welfare Society (MWS) concentrates the wholesome development of the working community without race, creed and religion, however, it mainly focusing Rural poor, Destitute Women, Small & Marginalized Farmers, Adolescent & Youths, School going Students & Poor Children Tribal, Nomadic Community, Elders and Disabled in all category and it also covered the needy individual at a time.
